PROTECTAGUARD

Pressure sensitive, structural grade solid acrylic tape designed to provide a strong bond between various substrates.  The uniform high tack acrylic adhesive on both surfaces of the solid acrylic polymer core is formulated to withstand a wide range of weather and temperature conditions without losing adhesion.

When it comes to sealing dissimilar surface technology, Protectaguard has what it takes. This specially designed butyl foam laminate is a low to medium compression sealant tape with a cross-linked poly core. Perfect for use in larger window installations where fastener tensions and strength are concerns.

• For years butyl has been an ideal sealing material. Unfortunately, 100% butyl seals are impractical for most applications.
• Kelcom Incorporated has developed Protectaguard, designed to make both foam and butyl economical and versatile.
• Our special cross-linked foam core creates most of the seal mass, reducing the amount of butyl needed to form a complete, dependable seal.
• The solid closed cell core provides unique compression recovery capabilities that butyl alone does not have.
• Protectaguard is a mass specific laminated material. The proprietary automotive grade butyl is an approved formulation at Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation.
